Our trip begins in India. India, with its vast landmass, diversity of cultures, and massive population is a country of intrigue and excitement. This country will amaze you as you visit the nations Capital, New Delhi, then travel to India's third-largest city, Jaipur, also known as the "Pink City" for its unusual rose-colored sandstone architecture. Agra, the site of the famous Taj Mahal, which sits on the banks of the Yamuna River is the next stop. This stunningly beautiful and possibly the most extravagant monument ever built for love in the world, will ignite your imagination and leaves you with a feeling of other-worldliness. Finally the tour continues to Varanasi, the holiest site in India, where thousands of Hindu pilgrims tour its temples and bathe in the Ganges River.

After exploring some of the most incredible sights of India you will visit Nepal, just over the border.

Nepal!

"A trekker's paradise"- Top of the world, the land of Never Ending Peace and Love. This leg of the journey will offer you an insight into Nepal's rich ancient cultures and history. During your stay you will be taken on a sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu valley and discover a wealth of interesting and important landmarks. While you are in Kathmandu, you will discover that in just a 10 kilometre radius there are more heritage sites gathered together than in any other place in the world. A hike to Nagarkot to see the world's highest and most extensive mountain range is a highlight of this visit. You will see a huge part of the Himalaya Mountain Range spread out before you, from the aspect of the Ganesh Himal. 

A fantastic vista awaits you here, from Annapurna in the West, to the Sagarmatha (Everest) region, in the East. 

Tibet 

Tibet, roof of the world, lies on an average elevation of 4000 m. The country of Tibet, a land of awesome landscapes and ancient Buddhist Culture, where monasteries, artistically decorated by the Buddhist Monks dot the landscape, and the centuries old caravan trail is situated. This area is a completely new experience and one you will be glad you have explored. Lhasa is the capital city of Tibet, and it is here that the famous and historically interesting Potala Palace of the Dalai Lama is situated. Many beautiful monasteries will capture your attention as you explore this city.

Taste of Asia Tour – itinerary

Day 01: Arrive at Delhi airport, representative from Mission Eco Trek, will meet you in the Airport and transfer to hotel and rest day.

Day 02: A Full day sightseeing in Delhi  including Red Fort and the Jama Masjid - the biggest mosque in the India, the Raj Ghat the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi; India Gate an Arch of Commemorative victory; Presidential residence Rashtrapati Bhavan, the Parliament Sansad Bhavan and Government buildings of the secretary; Connaught place, commercial and managerial center. Overnight in the Hotel in Delhi.

Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur: After breakfast leave Delhi, drive about 5 hours to Jaipur, a nice Old Indian city. Visit Amber Fort - the old capital of the State up to 1728. Visit the Jantar Mantar or astronomical observatory. The Palace of Rajput , paintings of Mughal and weapons and the impressive Hawa Mahal or Palace of Winds . Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 04: Jaipur - Agra: After breakfast drive to Agra . On the way to Agra stop at the walled city of Fatehpur Sikri , built by Akbar the Great to commemorate the birth of his son. Visit the red stone mosques, courtyards and the palace.

Day 05: Full Day in Agra: Visit Taj Mahal (built by the Sha Jahan in 1631 to harbor his favorite queen's body Mumtaz Mahal). The architectural splendor of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces is a vivid reminder of the opulence of the legendary Moghul Empire, of which Agra was the capital in the 16th and early 17th centuries. Overnight in Agra.

Day 06: Agra – Varanasi: After Breakfast Departure by plane / train with destination Varanasi the holiest site in India where thousands of Hindu pilgrims tour its temples and bathe in the Ganges River. Overnight in Varanasi.

Day 07: Varanasi: Kathmandu Early morning Boat ride on the Ganges, see people taking bath at river with the sound of bells and oil lamps. See the Ghats where Hindu death body is cremated after breakfast leave to Nepal by plane. Meet in Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel, if we got a time Visit Monkey temple and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Day 08: Sightseeing in Kathamndu valley: Tour including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath Temple and Baudhanath Stupa..

Day 09: Drive to sundarijal, hike to Chisa pani Danda. Overnight stay at local lodges.

Day 10: Morning Breakfast, about 6 hours trekking to Nagarkot where we will spend the night. Nagarkot is a hillside from where we will see world highest peaks and beautiful local landscapes.

Day 11: We will weak up early morning to see the sunrise views from Nagarkot Tower.  Breakfast, three hours trek down to Nala where our car will be waiting us to drive back Kathmandu. Overnight stay hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 12: Kathmandu to Zhangmu / Nyalam (3700m): Departure in every Saturday and Tuesday and tour is in a group join basis: Early morning drive to Kodari, complete immigration and custom formalities and overnight at Hotel Zhangmu or Naylam. In Tibet trip you will be joining with other trip members.

Day 13: Nyalam / Zhangmu to Xegar (4350m): Crossing Lalung la passes (5050m). This day's drive offers fantastic view of the high mountain including Mount Everest.

Day 14: Xegar to Shigatse (3900m): Drive about 8 hrs to Shigatse has the famous Tashimpo Monastery and the seat of Panchen Lama, Overnight at Hotel.

Day 15: Xigatse - Gyantse:  After a morning visit to the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, a short two hours drive to Gyantse, a small town that once served as the capital of a small kingdom. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 16: Gyantse - Lhasa (3600m): A scenic drive through the Karo La Pass and Kamba La Pass with a very good view of the Yamdrok Tso Lake . Then you cross the mighty Brahmmaputra River to arrive in Lhasa . O/N in hotel 

Day 17-18: (Two full days in Lhasa), Sightseeing and excursion of the Potala palace, the Jokhang Temple , surroundings of Barkhor Market, Drepung and Sera Monasteries. O/N in hotel .

Day 19: Lhasa - Kathmandu: Transfer to airport to fly back to Kathmandu.

Day 20: Transfer to airport, for your last destination.

Nepal Visa Information

Visa for Nepal, you can obtain a visa easily upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu. Please kindly bring two passport size photos and passport copy along with you. (Tourist Visa with Multiple Entry for 30 days can be obtained by paying US $ 40 or equivalent foreign currency. Similarly, Tourist Visa with Multiple Entry for 90 days can be obtained by paying US $ 100.
