Kathmandu- Kakani –Daman- Rafting -Wildlife travel

Daman (the hill station) offers the dedicated view seeker comfort accommodation from which to soar onto the state of awe which this land inspires. For those seeking the ultimate pan Himalayan view and willing to travel the extra distance to find it, Daman is the perfect destination to go. It is situated 75 kilometers from Southwest of Kathmandu valley on the Tribhuvan Rajpath (the highway to the Indian border), Daman (2,400m.) offers the only unimpeded view of the entire Himalayan range, a sight guaranteed to leave the early riser spell bound for days to come. From horizon to horizon, the full majesty of the world’s highest mountain range can be taken in.

Kakani, from where we can see a fantastic view of the northwestern Himalayan ranges. You can see Ganesh Himal (7,111m), Manaslu (8,163m), Garuishanker (7,134m) and Annapurna I (8,091m). The sunrise and sunset are especially impressive. It is nowhere near as popular as Nagarkot. Besides viewing the mountain there is nothing really to do. It is a good idea to stay overnight, because usually the views are better in the morning, before the cloud cover the scenery. It is located 29km northwest of Kathmandu at an elevation of 2002m. The 1½ hr journey from Kathmandu goes up a beautiful scenic road.

Rafting in Nepal is a remarkable experience. While rafting in white water in the rivers, as thundering waters coming from the glaciers of the great Himalaya in a Zig-Zag way, the variety of flora and fauna, the cultural heritage and charming smiles of innocence ethnic groups of people alongside the rivers are really awaiting of your arrival. You can also combine the wildlife safari trip with rafting. Normally, two nights & three days wildlife safari in chitwan national park will be sufficient period to explore the wonderful jungle activities.
